Hi everyone greetings …

Great first week thankyou for your efforts (not to mention 18+ on Sunday morning’s BJJ!)..This week we add trapping hands to our classes i  have some fun drills to go thru with you…morning classes start in Feb tuesday and thursday 6.30 am …True boxing and Wing Chun foundation see you there …

Also on Feb 2nd  we will be starting Peak Perfomance …This is a complete study on every aspect of Diet, Training and Elite Athlete Psychology a vast evolution from the Spartan course..The results achieved thus far are astounding  a detailed outline will follow..This is available to interstate and international students simultaneously  you will achieve identical results no matter where you are, an event will be created for you to register…

I am going thru the entire grading structure at the moment to cull some things and reinforce it with more up to date material i’ll keep you posted..Also i will be introducing a fitness test system for all levels performed 1 month prior to grading this will ensure you are ready and able on the  day !!..The tests themselves will be gleaned from the fitness tests of elite fighting forces such as the SAS…Navy seals…Commandos and more … And will become progressively more challenging as you move up the ranks this will also ensure the highest possible standards are being met …Also dont forget the 500 challenge ….500 rounds of sparring  in a calender year all sparring contributes to this chi sau sparring , cross arm , hand fighting ..fingerless gloves , 16 ounce …So all rounds must be timed !!… Okay thats alot to digest

…See on the mat tonight for True Boxing!…

Regards Sifu

The changes…

– There will be an additional 2 Kid’s Kung Fu classes on during the week, starting after the first Kid’s Saturday class being 1st Feb. A new pricing structure will be in place also. The $100 Kid’s Term will cover one class a week, then it’s $150 per term for 2 class per week coverage and $200 per term to cover attendace for all 3 classes. We are very excited to expand our kids program, so please help us promote this in anyway you can to help make it a success. Thank you in advance! 🙂

– The Tuesday night 6pm class will officially be an MMA class, the theme developed for the year is a 12 month true boxing program plus, in collaboration with our senior students John and Alex, there will be a Wrestling component included making the class a 90 minute session.

– Wednesday 7:15pm class is back! It will be taken by Amy and will be a striking and Wing Chun conditioning class, including Chi Sau, Forms and Trapping Hands.

– Finally, we are asking for feedback regarding morning classes (45min sessions). Sifu is considering putting on Tuesday and Thursday morning classes. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please let us know how early the class would need to start for you to still get to work in time.

Hope you all are having a fantastic start to the new year!

Yes, class is on tomorrow! just the 10am with Sifu. 9am conditioning with Frances will start back next Saturday and Kid’s Kung Fu will start first weekend of February. Sunday BJJ at 9:30am starts this weekend also!

See you on the mat.

Greetings and salutations..As we put 2019 to bed there are a few things that ive been reflecting on from this year ..Firstly thank you all for your efforts from white belts to red belts and everyone in between you make the mat an amazing place to be and i am very grateful …Congatulations to everyone who gave it there all during the last grading very proud and a big shout out to Zac who did it tough but shone on the day he now joins a very exclusive club …On the day we had some of the original wild bunch attending and they were suitably impressed  ..For me personally its all been about injury management and finding a way forward …So far so good …For the school its been a great year as we fulfilled our mission of going old school and embracing our roots …Next year more of the same …Looking forward to next year we will  be perfecting our dirty boxing skills and embracing true boxing for which i have developed a full 12 month program for ..a perfect complement to our Wing Chun…Also taking our clinch game to a new level is a very exciting prospect.. So thank you all once again i hope youve enjoyed your rest…See you on the mat saturday… Cant wait …regards Sifu

Hi guys!

Hope you have all had a fantastic Xmas so far.

Just a quick update regarding the timetable, today’s 11am and 6:30pm on Tues 31st are being cancelled. If you have keys of course you can come in to do your own thing but there won’t be a class on at those times.

Thanks everyone!

Tonight’s 6:30pm class with Vadim will be pad work and trapping hands drills.

Tomorrow starting 10am is Zac’s Gold Belt Grading. Get there on time to show your support! Everyone is absolutely welcome, if you haven’t been to one of our Gold Belt gradings before then you must not miss this one!

Afterwards, at the Kwoon, Sifu will be giving his speech summarising this year and what to expect next year on the mat, plus student of the year awards and special mentions.

Then we’re off to the Cauliflower, we have upstairs booked until 3pm. There will be a raffle, prizes are 1, a merch pack which will include tshirts and hoodies and; 2, a black-out sparring pack which will include black 16’s, black sparring mits and black shin/instep protectors. Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10. Buy your own food on the day, we didn’t organise any finger food as their menu is just awesome on it’s own.

BJJ is on this Sunday buth then we’re onto the Xmas/New Year timetable for 2 weeks which was put out in our last email.

See you all tomorrow!!!

Guys, Thursday’s just another day.
We finish off getting rid of people form mount with some fancy icing on that cake. Then, if that’s the collective spirit, maybe (!) we grab a beer nearby to toast a year of successful development in, what I now really like to call, ‘getting rid of people’. This is what I always say, it’s my new catchphrase.
See you Thursday.
