EASTER TRADING!! And some general updates…

Hi everyone!

There will be no classes on over the Easter longweekend, you are however welcome to come in and train if you have access or team up with someone who does. Then it’s back to usual training on Tuesday.

We are currently having issues with email address info@wingchunway.com so if you need to contact us via email please use info@redboatkungfu.com.

Until Sifu has recieved treatment for his injuries Tuesday 7pm BJJ Foundations is BJJ Open Mat – meaning come in to roll or drill, but it’s not a structured class.

TUESDAY 12:15 LUNCH CLASSES ARE BACK!!

12:15 Tuesday classes are BACK!

They are a Peak Performance class run by Adrian AKA Tony Pepperoni. Tomorrow is day one and the theme is: focusing on developing hand speed, footwork and conditioning the body.

If you’ve ever had the opportunity to do one of his sparring classes you’ll know you’re in for a treat.

OLD SCHOOL BOXING

Hi guys thanks for a great class last night great skills and work rate  …revision of the punch count and set ups and feints off the jab ..next week mastering the shoulder roll and the european gaurd .. today and tonight we continue old school wing chun with a couple of drills from the very beginning of the system developing speed and explosivness  ..cant wait see you on the mat ..kuen yao sum faat ..Sifu

OLD SCHOOL AND WOODEN DUMMY WORKSHOP THIS SUNDAY

Hi guys,

Firstly congratulations to all that graded on Saturday it was a very high standard, I’m very proud of your efforts. We’ll post some photos and video on Facebook shortly.

Thank you for everyone who came yesterday to the Alexandria Sunday Funday, it was a great day we’ll be getting involved in more like them so we will need a demo team!

This week we’ll be prepping for the Wooden Dummy seminar this Sunday that I’m very excited about. It will be an intense day so make sure you bring your A game. It starts at 11am, and will run for at least 4 hours. (Cost is $199).

This week’s theme is all about speed and explosiveness. Tomorrow night’s boxing theme is setups and feints and a revision on the punch count.

So see you on the mat tonight!

GRADING TOMORROW

Hi guys!

Just confirming with you all that the grading will be taking place tomorrow from 9:30am. The conditioning class is still on but will be a quick 30min heart starter. The kids class is also still on at the usual time of 11am, so no changes there.

BOXING 101

Thanks for a great class last night guys, very old school. I learnt the punch count when i was a young gym rat back in the early 70’s. It’s the gold standard of the sweet science. We’ll review it again next week plus setups and fakes.

Tonight is knife hand, palm strikes and hammer fist 2.0. So don’t miss it!

See you there.

Also, we need volunteers for the demo team for Sunday, just as much time as you can spare. Demo practice is tonight at 7pm.

WING CHUN’S DEADLIEST STRIKES

Hi guys,

This week’s format will be exploring Wing Chun’s other strikes – side palm strike, vertical palm strike, hammer fist and the deadly knife hand – targeting soft tissue and nerve plexus’ as well as the required conditioning such as iron palm etc.

ATTENTION PARENTS

Tomorrow is the adults Autum Grading, starting at 10:30am. As such, the kids class will start at 9am for this Saturday and will return to the usual time of 11am next weekend.

Shaolin Wing Chun Style Training This Evening

Shaolin Kung Fu

Tonight’s class will start with Forms, then more iron palm and iron shirt training. This will be an evolution of Mondays techniques and old style training plus, 4th dummy set, chi sau and cross arm sparring.
