Who were you when you started training @ RBKF, who are you now, what’s changed what’s the same?
I was just a cheeky guy coming from the islands of Fiji being very relaxed and I was a lot into drinking and not very disciplined with just working and not being able to cope the everyday ups and downs. After joining Hung Suen Wing Chun Kung Fu with Sigung Rick Spains guidance life’s been very fruitful and interesting with a lot of progress in all aspects. My lifestyle has been enhanced. The guidance is very fulfilling as I now seek to achieve my master levels through to Red Belt.
What does training mean to you?
Training at RBKF is a way of Life Style for me which I breathe with everything I do, it has become part of who I am.
What does coaching mean to you?
Coaching to me is way of communicating to others how and what Wing Chun is to me and the importance of treating your body, mind and soul as a temple and taking it to heights that you can only imagine, it’s a way of gaining self confidence in realising that nothing is impossible. Coaching also helps to improve my own skills and apart from self-defence aspects also creates people skills and allows you to understand/read all the different personalities and it’s also satisfying to see everyone progress.
Favourite Martial Artist, why?
Sigung Rick Spain as he has mentored me to become who I am in this part of my life.
Make Wing Chun a Life Style and the difference and benefits will be imminent. This focus will shape you well in your everyday and you will sleep at peace through your Mind/ Body & Soul.
